VERY RARE KHMER GILT BRONZE IMAGE OF SADASIVA

A very fine and rare Museum Quality late 12th Century Gilt Bronze Khmer image of Sadasiva. It was not uncommon to depict Siva with five heads in the latter stages of the Angkor period. Siva's five heads are arranged on two levels, four heads below and a single head above with crown. The figure stands upright on his legs each of his ten arms holding attributes. Gilt bronze figures such as this are extremely rare. The image is professionally mounted on a stylish new bronze stand.
