MEHRGARH TERRACOTTA FIGURINES
2,800 BC – 1,800 BC

Superb Female and Male figurines, some with arms bent at the elbows and bodies moulded in partial sitting postures. The applied hair is styled with a central parting, and all have vivid remains of coloured pigments. The eyes are indicted by deep punched holes. All figures are hand modled and adorned with neckbands and pendants. Two of the figures have been TL tested.
These figures are the best of their kind, with wonderful pigment colouring and patinas. All figures are some of the largest of there kind found.
